In short
Vialie never asks you to create an account. Everyday logging works on its own: you add a label, confirm entries, and keep notes on the iPhone. If you buy Vialie Plus, the purchase goes through the App Store and your Apple ID, so Settings > Restore purchases brings it back on a new phone and Settings > Manage subscription changes or cancels it. iCloud sync is off by default; Plus subscribers can turn on private sync through their own iCloud account. Settings > Delete local data removes the tracker data from the device. Vialie does not coach you and does not calculate a dose.
Key takeaways
- Vialie Plus is an App Store subscription, so it is tied to your Apple ID, not to a Vialie account.
- Plus subscribers can turn on private sync through their own iCloud account from the sync row in Settings > Privacy.
- Settings > Data > Delete local data asks for confirmation, then permanently removes your tracking data from the iPhone.
What works without an account
There is no Vialie login at any point. The free plan logs doses, symptoms, weight, and notes with up to 2 active vials, plus this week’s charts and the last 7 days of photos. Labels, entries, site notes, inventory, journal notes, and photos you add stay on the device, and Vialie does not send tracker context to a Vialie cloud service.
Buying and restoring Plus uses your Apple ID
Vialie Plus is an App Store subscription, so it is tied to your Apple ID, not to a Vialie account. Two rows in Settings handle it:
- Settings > Restore purchases checks your Apple ID for an active Plus subscription, for example on a new iPhone.
- Settings > Manage subscription opens Apple’s subscription settings, where you change plans or cancel.
Optional iCloud sync (Plus, off by default)
iCloud sync is off by default. Plus subscribers can turn on private sync through their own iCloud account from the sync row in Settings > Privacy. The data goes to your private iCloud database, not to a Vialie server. With sync off, the row reads "Saved on this device". For what a company cloud sends instead, and six questions to ask any tracker, see private vs. cloud GLP-1 trackers.
What "Delete local data" removes
Settings > Data > Delete local data asks for confirmation, then permanently removes your tracking data from the iPhone. It cannot be undone.
- Vials, doses, symptoms, weight, inventory, reports, and procedures
- Journal notes, progress photos, and lab results
- Reminder schedules, plus the reminders iOS already queued
- The medication names shown in widgets
It does not cancel a Plus subscription. That lives with your Apple ID, under Settings > Manage subscription.
A clinician can still see the log
When you want a copy, Vialie Plus builds a PDF or CSV in Reports on the device. You choose the file and how to share it. The appointment export guide walks through that step. Nothing leaves the phone until you export it.
Questions
Does Vialie require an account to track GLP-1 medications?
No. The App Store build does not require a Vialie account. Records stay on the device, and a subscription does not create a cloud profile of those records.
How do I restore Vialie Plus on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open Vialie, and tap Settings > Restore purchases. Plus is an App Store subscription, so there is no Vialie login to recover.
Does Vialie sync a GLP-1 log to iCloud?
Not unless you choose to. iCloud sync is off by default; Plus subscribers can turn on private sync through their own iCloud account. Vialie does not send tracker context to a Vialie cloud service.
What does Delete local data remove?
Your vials, doses, symptoms, weight, inventory, reports, procedures, journal notes, photos, lab results, and reminders on that iPhone. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel a Plus subscription.
Can I export a no-account GLP-1 log for my clinician?
Yes, with Vialie Plus. Reports builds a PDF or CSV on the device from entries you already logged. You share the file yourself.
