Keeping a caregiver medication log with Friend View

Tracking doses and notes for someone you care for is different from your own log. Friend View keeps a separate private record without mixing histories.

In short

A caregiver medication log works best as a separate record from your own: same kind of fields - doses, symptoms, weight, notes - but a different timeline, so nothing gets mixed up under one name. Friend View gives the person you care for a separate private workspace on your device: no Vialie account, no automatic notification sent to them, and no sync to a Vialie cloud service. You choose what, if anything, you export or share.

Why a caregiver log needs its own space

Logging someone else’s doses and symptoms in the same timeline as your own makes both records harder to trust - a pattern that looks like yours might actually be theirs. Friend View keeps each person’s history on a separate timeline inside the same app, so nothing has to be untangled later.

What to record for someone you care for

The same structure that works for your own record works for theirs.

  • The label as given - medication, peptide, or supplement name
  • Date and time of each entry
  • Symptoms or reactions noted, with severity in your own words
  • Weight, if that is part of what you track for them
  • Notes, wins, and context that matter to their care
  • Inventory for their pens, vials, or supplies

Household privacy norms worth setting

A caregiver log holds someone else’s health information, which is worth a little more care than your own. Keep their entries on their own Friend View timeline, ask before adding photos of them, and treat export the same way: something you choose to do, not something that happens automatically.

Getting started with Friend View

The same four steps as starting your own record, on a separate workspace.

  • Open Friend View and create a separate private workspace for that person
  • Start with a label, exactly as it is written
  • Use Quick Log to save doses, symptoms, weight, photos, and notes on their timeline
  • Review their history before an appointment, and export a PDF or CSV if you want to bring it

Questions

Does Friend View notify the person I am tracking for?

No. Friend View does not send automatic updates, invites, or messages to the person you are recording for.

Can I keep records for more than one person?

Yes. Each person gets a separate private workspace, so their entries do not mix with yours or with each other’s.

Should I ask before logging someone else’s health information?

This is a practical note, not legal advice, but yes - get whatever consent fits your situation and relationship before you start a log for someone else.

Can I export a Friend View log for their appointment?

Yes. Friend View entries export the same way your own do, as a PDF or CSV summary you choose to share.
